Fajr Int’l filmfest announces short films of market section

The 35th edition of Fajr International Film Festival has announced the list of short films of the film market section.

Some 18 short films are selected for the market section and will be screened for foreign guests, festival managers and customers.

List of feature length films of the non-competition of the festival market will be announced soon, the official website of the festival wrote.

Established in 1982, Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 35th International Fajr Film Festival is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.
